reclaiming our wild humanity, one voice at a time
A TORCHES N’ PITCHFORKS PRINT ANTHOLOGY
Edited by Jim Churchill-Dicks In its twelfth year, torches n’ pitchforks literary journal continues to hunt for voices that might otherwise go silent. Silenced by outside forces that would say these stories- even in the ways they tell them- do not matter. How mistaken those outside forces are! They are luminous. They flicker and shine. They are torchlight piercing the darkness

SPONSORED BY THE OREGON WRITING PROJECT
For several years in Central Oregon, a chapter of the Oregon Writing Project met with teachers of multiple grade levels to teach innovative writing strategies in both their curriculum and in their own personal writing. What resulted was a beautiful combination of work from local teacher authors throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Established in 2008 by Jim Churchill-Dicks, torches n’ pitchforks seeks to highlight the best writing by both students and teachers in the Pacific Northwest; work that explores the depth of image and emotion while exploring the relationship between form and content.
